Great bench of buyers most of whom have been purchasing stags at the sale for the 20 years we have been holding an auction. All 36 stags sold ave $7561.
The top price ($17000) stag was a standout- by our own sire Mataroa out of a first fawner, with a 12mthBV of 30.3 kg, a Weaning weight BV of 21.7kg, a Carla BV +48 and a sale day weight of 253kg.
The temperament of the line was pleasing with them all standing quietly in the sale ring during the auction.
Plenty of compliments about the stags overall which was also very encouraging.
Looks like the venison schedule has turned a corner and everybody is back in business.
